What do you mean by the formats that you provide me with?
The formats we provide you with are the types of photo file that we both take your photographs in and present to you on your disc so that you can view and print them.
We photograph using two formats: RAW and JPEG
RAW is typically a larger data file than its counterpart, the JPEG, and in most cases will require a RAW viewer file to be downloaded from the internet to view the file on your PC. JiTo will readily assist you in this operation should you need to view the RAW images.
RAW is a format generally reserved for those with expertise in image editing using one of the many picture editing packages available on the market (Photoshop, PhotoshopElements, Aperture etc).
JPEG is the standard day to day format that you would generally view the images on your own computer or DVD/CD player connected to your TV.
We provide you with both formats on your disc. The JPEG images however are further split into two further versions: One JPEG format will comprise of the high resolution images - basically the selected and edited images to which you would take to the likes of Jessops and Boots etc for printing. The other version, although the same image, is in an email friendly format with a lower resolution where each image is generally in the range of 150KB making it easier to attach to emails and enjoy on a computer screen.
