Data Protection and Permissions

Prior to any photographs being taken of you it is neccessary for us to obtain your permission to photograph you and particularly if minors are involved.

As part of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 we do not disclose any details about people that we photograph or our customers.

In support of this, and due to the nature of our business we have to be registered with the Information Commissioners Office. Basically we are bound to the DPA.

On completion of your photo session, we will hold your images in safekeeping for 21 days. After that time we will contact you to ascertain that the disc we have presented to you works and that you are happy with the final results. On completion of this we then delete any data/images relating to your photo session.

Upon this notification we will LAO offer advice, if required, and propose solutions regarding on / offline data storage so as to help you protect your images from future damage or loss because you are about to take custody of the only copies of your images.

Once deleted, you will have the only copy/copies from your session and you will therefore be responsible for the protection of the images on the disc, their control and future distribution thereafter.

By releasing copyright to you, JiTo will NOT copy, amend, publish or distribute any of your information or images from the photographic session prior to deletion. This includes situations where we have been given express permission by customers to store their images for agreed purposes.

In respect of Copyright, we will upon completion of your session, provide you with a certificate relinquishing the Copyright. We recommend that this certificate be kept in a safe place in case it is required at a later date by image printing providers.
